Meet Our Staff
The staff at River Valley Chiropractic is warm, caring and dedicated to helping our patients feel more comfortable and we are committed to making sure you leave each appointment at least a bit more positive about your body and your health. Each of our staff members has experienced the benefits that chiropractic and massage therapy treatments offer. We believe in the services we provide for our patients to help them reach their own health and wellness goals.
Jim and his wife, Erin, were fortunate to return to the Coulee Region in 2011 to start his practice and provide Chiropractic Care to the community. Jim’s passion for chiropractic began when he was a sophomore in High School and he tore his hamstring playing basketball. His Chiropractor helped him rehab from his injury and he was able to return to playing basketball faster than the doctors expected.
Dr. Jim saw how his Chiropractor helped him heal from his sports related injury quickly and this motivated him to want to help others do the same. During treatments for his own injuries, he was able to see the benefits of combining Chiropractic Care with simple rehab exercises and that has helped shaped how he treats patients. Dr. Jim has also taken extra classes in a low force technique called Activator and holds a certificate in Nutrition Counseling, all of which he uses to help patients live a healthier more pain free life.
Dr. Jim and his family enjoy spending time on the trails hiking and biking, playing basketball, and maintaining a healthy active lifestyle.
Dr. Mindy grew up going to the Chiropractor regularly. She has seen the benefits of good medical care throughout her life and knew she wanted to be in a medical field that allowed her to help people. As natural health and nutrition advocate she decided to pursue Chiropractic medicine with the intention of helping her patients feel their best. Mindy models a healthy lifestyle and enjoys teaching others about the strategies and benefits of physical activity, good nutrition and emotional well being.
Dr. Mindy and her husband Matt have three children; Lily, Gavin and Halle. Her experience of having three children so close together also gave Dr. Mindy personal insight into the benefits of Chiropractic care while dealing with the discomfort that can coincide with growing a baby. She loves helping moms find relief through their pregnancy and postpartum transitions.
When she is not busy taking care of patients, Dr. Mindy enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to hike and explore our beautiful area. She enjoys a good house project and gets very excited talking about home renovations and design. Golf, skiing, and yoga are also things she spends time doing.
Lisa has enjoyed the benefits of chiropractic care since she was a young girl, when her mom worked as a receptionist for a chiropractic clinic. Born and raised in West Salem, she has a long history and affection for the kind friendliness of the people, and the natural scenic beauty of the coulee region. Lisa has used her organizational skills to manage departments and assist many leaders in several businesses in the La Crosse and Onalaska area throughout her life. She is proud and happy to have worked with Dr Jim since 2015. In addition to her husband, Brad, adult children, Zach and Kyla, and son-in-law Michael, Lisa feels that the staff and patients at River Valley Chiropractic have become like extended family!
Raised in the Rice Lake area, Jasmyn was one of seven kids. She moved to La Crosse to begin college at UWL in 2015. She has always loved being active, especially outdoors. She played multiple sports throughout school, volleyball being her favorite. Jasmyn also grew up boxing and was a Silver Gloves Champion and the most outstanding female boxer in the state of Wisconsin in 2009. She is still active in the boxing community as a licensed USA Boxing official, but has stepped away from fighting, although she still breaks out her gloves from time to time. Hiking makes her heart happy and in the nine years of living in the area she has yet to find a view she doesn’t like!
Jasmyn has always known she wanted to do something in the medical field. She loves helping people and has always been fascinated by the human body. Working as an EMT for over 3 years directly out of high school made her realize that while she enjoys medicine, she prefers a less stressful working environment. She truly loves working with the providers and patients at River Valley Chiropractic!
Liza Collins grew up in the Milwaukee area, and has lived in the Coulee Region since 1992. Always having a heart to help people, she worked as a social worker for 21 years, including with La Crosse County Human Services and the Gundersen Hospice Department. During that time, Liza discovered the importance of therapeutic touch, which led her to pursue a license in Massage Therapy.
In her training at Madison’s East West Healing Arts institute for Chinese Medical Massage, Liza learned to use a collaboration of Eastern and Western Massage approaches which considers the whole person. While she specializes in hospice massage and therapeutic touch, she has gained a rich experience in working with a diverse range of ages and needs, from sports or work-related injuries to chronic pain management. Liza encourages her patients to consider common sense strategies that include daily functional living changes aimed at building their wellness and longevity through self-care.
Liza enjoys spending time with her two teenagers, Samara and Liam. They are involved with hockey year round, so she is often busy running to practice and games. She is also passionate about staying active, especially outdoors when possible. She loves hiking with her dogs, cycling, motorcycling, gardening and cooking.
